Experience a completely off the beaten track hiking trail in Doi Inthanon National Park, rich in fauna and flora. This trek is incredibly scenic and non-touristic. Here you will hike one of a kind special hiking trail, hiking around 6 hours through the heart of the rain forests. Stop at 2 beautiful cascading waterfalls and a stunning viewpoint for lunch and make your plates out of banana leaves. Enjoy viewpoints along the trail and arrive at an ethnic Karen Hilltribe village, where you will learn about the traditional herbs and discover all the different things you can eat from the rainforest along the way. See rice paddies and local fruit orchards. Sleep in a Karen Hilltribe village and see their way of life. On our 2 day trek, we will hike 4 hours along a non-touristic trail through the rainforest.
Begin your adventurous day with a convenient pick-up from your hotel between 7:00 to 7:30 am. As you settle into the ride, anticipate the rich, natural beauty that awaits you. The drive to Doi Inthanon National Park is a two-hour journey that promises to be as captivating as the destination itself. En route, we'll make a brief stop at a local market, offering you a glimpse into the daily lives of the locals and an opportunity to pick up some snacks or souvenirs.
Our trek will commence from the backdrop of a village that boasts stunning views of expansive rice fields. As the sun climbs the sky, you'll be enveloped by the lush green canopy of the rainforest. The initial stretch of our hike will span approximately 2 to 2.5 hours. As we wander through the heart of this verdant paradise, a viewpoint will beckon us to pause for a well-deserved lunch. The melody of a nearby waterfall will accompany our meal, adding to the serenity of the moment. Our post-lunch hike, another 2 hours approximately, continues through the rainforest. More viewpoints and another mesmerizing waterfall will greet us along the path. By late afternoon, Khun Poy Village will emerge on the horizon. This quaint village, where you'll be resting for the night, offers a unique opportunity to immerse yourself in local culture. Stroll through its lanes, interact with the children at the local school, and truly understand the heart of this community.
As dusk settles, let the aroma of a local Thai dinner, expertly prepared by your guide, entice you. You're more than welcome to join him in the kitchen, picking up a culinary trick or two, before you dig into a sumptuous meal, bringing the perfect close to an exhilarating day.
In the morning, the scent of freshly prepared breakfast will fill the air, marking the start of another adventurous day. As we fuel our bodies with a hearty meal, the anticipation grows, setting the tone for our upcoming hike. With spirits high and our energies rejuvenated, we'll embark on our journey, with the rainforest as our destination.
For roughly four hours, we'll navigate our way through the dense canopy of the Rainforest. Each step will introduce us to the intricate tapestry of nature, with the symphony of chirping birds and the distant murmur of streams as our soundtrack. As the morning transitions to afternoon, we'll pause our journey for a well-deserved lunch along the trail, absorbing the serenity of our surroundings.
After our delightful respite, we will set our sights on concluding our exploration. Departing from the captivating embrace of Doi Inthanon, our journey will lead us back to Chiang Mai. As the city skyline gradually comes into view, we can anticipate our return around 17:30, bringing with it a blend of exhaustion, contentment, and a treasure trove of memories.
