Everest Base Camp, the Cho La pass and a little more: Gokyo. Think azure blue glacier lakes, an endless trail of prayer flags and the most beautiful views including snowy peaks. That’s the Gokyo Valley Trek.
In the Everest region, a high and fascinating route connects the Khumbu Valley and the Gokyo Valley via the 5420 meter Cho La Pass. It takes two days to cross this high pass in both directions and the only accommodation is in Dzongla and Thangnak, villages six to seven hours apart on either side of the pass. In good weather we can cross Cho La without mountaineering equipment.
Many travelers feel that an Everest Base Camp Trek is not complete without a turn to the Gokyo valley over the Cho La Pass. That is true. Get off the beaten track and discover the Gokyo Valley with Bookatrekking.com!
