The history of the Wimbachgrieshütte dates back over 100 years. Then called Griesalm, it was managed by local farmers. Since 1919, it has been a complete hut for mountaineers and they have done their best in recent years to reduce its ecological footprint. The rustic charm invites day-trippers and overnight guests to relax far away from any civilization.
