Kothe is the actual gateway to the mountain Mera Peak. Just past the village is the police checkpost, where your climbing permits are checked. At 4180 metres (13,713), the village is above the tree line and the landscape is rugged. Get cozy in your lodge wit a cup of tea and a plate of dal baht!
