Mülbach - Schneebergkreuz - Böndlsee - Lend

Duration: 07:55 h
Distance: 17.3 km
Ascent: 530 m
Descent: 1490 m

The next day we take the Mülbarger Bergbahn back to Karbachalm, where stage 4 begins. This stage offers a scenic route with some steep descents and wide-open views. Along the way, you’ll reach Gamskögerl, where you can soak in panoramic vistas in every direction. The trail then leads down towards Böndlsee, and from there it’s about a 45-minute walk to the Lend/Salzbach Bahnhof train station. From here you can easily catch a train back to Pfarrwerfen or Salzburg.

Note: If the cable car from Mülbarger Bergbahn back to Karbachalm is closed, you will need to take Route Option 2. This alternative is also ideal for those who prefer a shorter day. Route Option 2 follows a more direct path to Werfen, partly retracing the trail from the first day, and brings you back to the valley sooner without missing the charm of the mountains.
