Vadnikov dom na Velem polju (1817 m) - Koca na Dolicu (2210 m)

Duration: 02:15 h
Distance: 4.66 km
Ascent: 480 m
Descent: 120 m

While many hikers set their sights on the summit of Mount Triglav today, you’ll skip the crowds and cross straight to Koca na Dolicu, a mountain hut perched at 2210 meters. No need to rush—take your time over breakfast because there’s no big descent on the agenda. The hike takes around two hours and leads you through stunning limestone landscapes on a steady, not-too-technical trail. With a bit of luck, you might even spot an ibex along the way. Once at Dolicu, the legendary hut manager Marian is there to welcome you with stories and good cheer.

Koca na Dolicu (2210 m) - Koca pri Triglavskih jezerih (Triglav Lakes Valley Hut) (1685 m)

Duration: 03:15 h
Distance: 7.8 km
Ascent: 210 m
Descent: 680 m

From Koca na Dolicu (2210 m) you continue your adventure towards Koca pri Triglavskih jezerih, the famous Triglav Lakes Valley Hut at 1685 meters. This stage offers a bit more spice: two technical sections will challenge your balance and footing, with some light T4 scrambling here and there. But don't worry, it’s not like that the entire way. Most of the trail is steady and manageable. If you feel like breaking up the hike, you can make a detour to the Zasavska hut—just follow the signs when you get close. It's the perfect place to catch your breath before continuing through the rugged beauty of the Julian Alps. Your day ends in the heart of the magical Triglav Lakes Valley, one of Slovenia’s true hiking gems.

Duration: 05:50 h
Distance: 13.6 km
Ascent: 440 m
