Begin your hiking adventure with a loop around the beautiful Stellisee, one of Zermatt’s most picturesque alpine lakes. Zermatt to Täsch with a Stop at Tufteralp

Duration: 05:55 h
Distance: 13.4 km

Descent: 980 m
On this one-way hike, you’ll set off from Zermatt towards Täsch. After 3 km, you’ll reach the Tufteralp, a cozy mountain hut where you can stop for food and drinks while enjoying views of the Matterhorn. The hike can also be done in reverse, with the hut as a rewarding break after a longer climb. The trail offers spectacular views of the surrounding peaks and valleys, making it a relaxing yet scenic day hike.

Departure

After breakfast, it’s time to check out of your hotel and say goodbye to the Zermatt region. If time allows, you may choose to take one last stroll through the town and perhaps a visit to the Matterhorn Museum before heading home with unforgettable memories of your alpine adventure.

    You have to make your own way to the starting point. The total amount does not include personal transport. This also applies to any transport from the end point of your trail.
