This 3-day ‘Short & Spicy’ adventure in the Dolomiti di Brenta is compact but intense. Located in the western part of Trentino, this lesser-known corner of the Dolomites offers rugged limestone peaks, quiet valleys, and well-marked trails far from the crowds of the Alta Via routes.

The route starts close to Madonna di Campiglio and takes you across a dramatic mountain landscape with steep ascents, rocky paths, and challenging descents. This is a trek for confident and experienced families looking for a short but adventurous high-mountain experience. Sure-footedness is essential, and the panoramic views make every effort worth it!

Each night, you’ll stay in traditional rifugi, where warm hospitality, hot meals, and epic views await. This is a complete Dolomites experience: physical effort, quiet trails, impressive nature, and Italian alpine charm — all packed into 3 unforgettable days.

Madonna di Campiglio - Rifugio Tuckett (Valley Route)

Your trek begins in Madonna di Campiglio. Walk along Via Vallesinella to reach Rifugio Vallesinella.The sound of waterfalls will guide you on your ascent through the forest. After a scenic stop at the viewpoint over the Vallesinella cascades, you’ll reach Malga Vallesinella di Sopra—a peaceful alpine hut ideal for a quick break. The trail then climbs steadily through thinning woods and rocky slopes to Rifugio Graffer al Grostè, where you can relax with a good meal and enjoy the warm mountain atmosphere.

From Graffer, the trail crosses high-altitude terrain with open views of the surrounding peaks. As you make your way toward Rifugio Tuckett, you’ll be treated to sweeping panoramas of the Brenta Dolomites and distant glimpses of the Adamello and Presanella ranges. The path winds through alpine meadows and rocky outcrops, ending at this iconic hut where you can unwind beneath the dramatic peaks.

Your adventure begins at the Tuckett Hut, where a steady climb leads you into the heart of the Brenta Dolomites along the famed Via delle Bocchette. Early highlights include the rocky spires of Cima Sella and Campanile dei Camosci, with thrilling passages along Trail B. Dallagiacoma—a demanding via ferrata partly secured with cables, offering panoramic views and a true alpine challenge for experienced trekkers.

Crossing the high saddle at Bocca del Tuckett, you're treated to expansive views of the Adamello range, with occasional glimpses of Lake Molveno depending on the vantage point. The route continues along exposed ledges and the equipped SOSAT trail before gently descending past dramatic cliffs and open viewpoints. Eventually, the path leads you to the Alimonta Hut, a peaceful refuge nestled among towering peaks—an ideal place to rest after a day on this breathtaking high-alpine traverse.

Rifugio Alimonta - Rifugio Vallesinella

The final day kicks off at Rifugio Alimonta, perched high among the jagged peaks of the Brenta Dolomites. A short climb leads you up to the Bocca dei Armi before beginning your descent, with towering cliffs and sweeping alpine vistas accompanying you along the way.

As you drop down past Rifugio Brentei and into greener valleys, the trail winds through rocky terrain, a mountain tunnel, and peaceful forest paths. Waterfalls begin to appear as you reach the Vallesinella area, where the sound of cascading water welcomes you to the valley. Your trek ends at the welcoming Rifugio Vallesinella – the perfect place to rest and reflect on an unforgettable journey. From there, you can return to the alpine town of Madonna di Campiglio via Via Vallesinella.

    During your Dolomite di Brenta Trek, you will spend your nights in mountain huts. We normally book dormitories, but private rooms are available upon request and cost €75 extra per room per night. If no private rooms are available, we will automatically book a bed in a dormitory.

  • Half board in huts (where possible)

    Accommodation in the huts includes dinner and breakfast, unless otherwise indicated in the exclusive list. This allows you to travel lighter and not have to worry about an extra meal. Please note, however, that lunch is not included, but can be purchased at the huts.

  • Navigation support

    Our trekking app also includes built-in navigation support. With GPS-based maps and offline access, you can follow the trail confidently and stay on route even without mobile signal.

  • Traveling to and from

    You have to make your own way to the starting point. The total amount does not include personal transport.

  • Transfers

    Should you need any form of (public) transport on location, this is not part of the trekking package. This includes the use of taxi, bus, cable cars, gondolas, ferries, etc.

  • Lunch

    Half-board is included in the price of this trek. Lunch, however, is not. You can get something to eat at the mountain huts along the way.

  • Travel Insurance

    Your international travel insurance is your own responsibility. Discuss your itinerary with the insurance company before your trek.

  • Personal expenses

    Personal expenses on such as souvenirs, drinks, and other similar expenses are for your own account.
