This 6-day tour of the Brenta Dolomites invites you to explore one of the most awe-inspiring mountain ranges in the Italian Alps. Nestled in the Italian province of Trentino, this itinerary showcases the rugged beauty of this UNESCO World Heritage Site, from its dramatic limestone peaks to its tranquil valleys and unspoilt wilderness. Starting in Madonna di Campiglio and ending in Molveno, the trek takes you through a variety of alpine landscapes, with each step revealing more of the region's charm.
This adventure is ideal for experienced hikers who enjoy challenging paths without the technical demands of climbing. Expect steep climbs and descents, rewarded with stunning views at every turn. Along the way, welcoming refuges offer cosy hideaways where you can rest, refuel with hearty Trentino dishes and bask in the warm hospitality of the Dolomites.
What sets this trek apart is the extra comfort, including accommodation before and after your 4-day trek. Whether you're preparing for the adventure ahead or savouring the memories afterwards, you'll have a relaxing place to stay to ensure your experience is seamless from start to finish.
To ensure you're well rested and ready for your Brenta Trek, we've arranged a comfortable stay in a local hotel here in Madonna di Campiglio. Take the day to relax, settle into your room and explore the town at your own pace. In the evening, relax and recharge your batteries - tomorrow your journey into the Brenta Dolomites begins!
Starting from the alpine town of Madonna di Campiglio, your adventure begins with a choice: take the easy way up to the Grostè Pass by cable car, or take on the challenge of the ascent on foot - and earn these views the hard way!
From the Grostè Pass, path 316 winds through rocky outcrops and tranquil pastures on a gentle descent to the Tuckett Hut. Along the way you'll be rewarded with views of the Presanella, Adamello and Brenta mountain ranges. A warm welcome awaits you at this refuge, a favourite stop for hikers and the perfect place to relax and recharge your batteries.
The day begins at the Rifugio Tuckett, where the trail climbs steadily through rugged rocky terrain. With the imposing Crozzon di Brenta and other legendary peaks towering above you, it's the kind of scenery that makes every step feel epic. The well-marked path keeps you on track and offers breathtaking views of rugged limestone cliffs and glacial landscapes.
As you climb, the trail throws in some steep inclines to test your stamina - especially as you approach the Alimonta Hut, which stands at an impressive 2,580 metres. The final stretch requires a steady footing, with loose rocks and uneven paths adding to the adventure. Along the way you will find cascading streams and towering rock spires. It's as challenging as it is rewarding!
We will send you on your way with a digital travel guide that includes a route description for the Brenta Dolomites, interactive hiking maps, and the most important information applicable to your trek
