Arrival Day

Arriving in Kavos brings warm air, bright colours and the easy rhythm of the Ionian Sea. The southern tip of Corfu feels relaxed and sun drenched, a place where everything slows down the moment you arrive. It is the perfect setting to begin your days on the island.

A gentle stroll along the beach or through the small backstreets shows lively cafés, quiet corners and soft evening light over the water. The coastline curves gently and the sea breeze brings the scent of salt and warm pine.

Your accommodation sits close to the shore. It is an easy place to settle in, drop your bags and enjoy your first night in the south of Corfu.

From Kavos to Lefkimmi

The morning begins with a simple rhythm as you leave Kavos and follow paths along the edge of the sea. Soon the landscape rises gently and views open toward the Albanian coastline across the water. The colours shift from deep blue to turquoise as you move along the southern cliffs.

The trail crosses quiet hills, tiny chapels and viewpoints over Cape Asprokavos. A few short climbs bring airy looks over the Ionian coast. Later the path drops into olive groves and small villages where stone walls and dirt tracks guide you toward the north.

The final stretch brings you into the peaceful streets of Lefkimmi. Your accommodation waits near the river, a calm place to rest after a day of sea views and warm hills.

From Lefkimmi to Agios Georgios

Once you reach the shoreline the walk becomes bright and open. Views stretch across Agios Georgios Beach and the pale dunes further west. The sand feels warm underfoot and the water shifts between emerald and blue. Low cliffs add texture as the coastline slowly bends toward the settlement.

Agios Georgios appears with white houses and a calm bay. Your accommodation sits near the waterfront, perfect for an easy swim or a relaxed evening meal by the beach.

From Agios Georgios to Paramonas

Paramonas welcomes you with a quiet curve of sand and a handful of houses above the water. Your accommodation sits close to the beach, a calm ending after a day filled with shifting light and open landscapes.

From Paramonas via Dafnata to Benitses

You leave Paramonas with the sea still calm behind you and begin a steady climb into the inland hills. Small villages appear between terraced olive groves and the morning light paints golden colours across the slopes.

The route winds through settlements like Komianáta and later rises toward viewpoints that overlook the entire eastern coast. Chapels sit tucked under cypress trees and the biggest ascent of the day brings you to open ridges with sweeping views toward the Ionian Sea. The descent leads on soft paths through forest and stone walled terraces.

The final approach to Benitses follows narrow lanes and leafy corners until the sea appears once more. Your accommodation lies close to the centre, a relaxed place to land and enjoy the comforts of the village after a beautiful day in the hills.

Departure day

Your last morning in Benitses arrives with the soft sounds of the harbour and the gentle movement of the sea. The village feels slow and friendly, offering one more peaceful moment before you travel onward.

A stroll along the waterfront reveals small fishing boats, shady terraces and quiet cafés preparing for the day. The hills rise behind the village while the sea stretches calm and bright in front of you. It is a simple and warm farewell.

When it is time to leave you continue your journey from the accommodation. The coast of Corfu stays with you a little longer as you say goodbye to the island.
