If you are looking for a hike that is not too technically difficult, but still offers a challenge, the Garda Trek is the perfect match for you. This trek along Lake Garda, shows that northern Italy has more to offer than hiking in the Dolomites
The Garda Trek: Medium Loop is a 71-kilometer (44 miles) hike along the northern shores of Lake Garda. During this 4-day circular walk, you will start and finish in Riva del Garda. Along the way, Lake Garda will always be nearby, so enjoy the different views you'll be treated to during the hike.
We will send you on your way with a digital travel guide that includes a route description for the Garda Trek, interactive hiking maps, and the most important information applicable to your trek
We arrange your accommodation on the Garda Trek in hotels, hostels or huts along the way. We have selected accommodations on our trek based on the length of each stage and recommendations from hikers who have gone before us on the Garda Trek.
Accommodation at the huts includes dinner and breakfast. We will arrange this for you as well. This allows you to travel lighter and have one less thing to worry about. Bear in mind that lunch is not included, but it can be purchased at the huts. Here you can also buy an array of snacks and bottled water.
In the Hotels, we include Breakfast for you. Bear in mind that lunch and dinner are not included, but they can be most of the time purchased in or near the hotels.
You have to make your own way to the starting point. The total amount does not include personal transport.
Should you need any form of (public) transport on location, this is not part of the trekking package. This includes the use of taxi, bus, cable cars, gondolas, ferries, etc.
Half-board is included in the price of this trek. Lunch, however, is not. You can get something to eat at the mountain huts along the way.
Your international travel insurance is your own responsibility. Discuss your itinerary with the insurance company before your trek.
Personal expenses on such as souvenirs, drinks, and other similar expenses are for your own account.
