Ibiza isn’t just for parties—it’s a hiker’s paradise hiding in plain sight. The 7-day Ibiza Trek takes you along cliffside paths, through pine forests, and into quiet villages where the sea is never far away. Think turquoise coves, warm breezes, and Mediterranean charm at every turn.
This trip is designed for beginners or anyone looking for a beatiful multi-day hike. Distances are gentle, the terrain forgiving, and every evening ends in the comfort of a hotel or apartment. We’ve taken care of all the bookings, so you can focus on your footsteps, your views, and maybe your next sangria stop.
It’s the easy-going side of island life—sun on your skin, salt in the air, and time on your hands.
You start at the iconic La Torre del Canonigo, tucked into the stone walls of Dalt Vila. From here, you walk downhill through the old streets of Ibiza Town and out through the Portal Nou. Within minutes, you're stepping into holiday mode as the Mediterranean sparkles beside you.
The trail follows the coastline past Figueretes and Playa d'en Bossa, Ibiza’s most famous beach strip. Think white sand, buzzing beach bars, and jet-set energy. But don’t let the party distract you — you’re heading south. You pass legendary names like Hi Ibiza and Ushuaïa, but you’ll keep your pace chill and your eyes on the sea.
As you leave the resort buzz behind, the path shifts to sand and soil. Cruise ships fade into the background, and coastal calm kicks in. The route ends near the Torre de sa Sal Rossa, a historic watchtower with views over the sea and the salt flats inland. Time for a breather — the salty breeze here is something else.
Today the coastline fades behind you. You leave the Mediterranean behind and head inland, following quiet backroads and old paths into the heart of Ibiza. The scent of wild rosemary rises from the hills, and the hum of the coast is replaced by birdsong and stillness.
This stage comes with some leg work. Over the first 13 kilometers, the trail climbs steadily up to around 200 meters, with a few rolling hills along the way. Nothing extreme, but just enough to get your heart rate up and make your break at the top feel earned.
The reward? A long, gentle descent back to sea level. The final kilometers bring you down through pine forests and farmland until you hear the sea again. You’ll reach Caló des Moro, just outside Sant Antoni de Portmany — a small beach cove where your shoes come off and the views stretch wide. A well-deserved break, sunset optional but recommended.
From Sant Antoni you follow the coastline north, tracing the edge of Ibiza’s rugged shoreline. The trail takes you past Cala Gració and Cala Gracioneta, small coves with turquoise waters perfect for a morning dip. Soon, the wide horizon opens up and you arrive at Punta Galera — a natural stone terrace with jaw-dropping views and water so clear it looks like glass.
The coastal path continues to Cala Salada, about 7 kilometers into the stage. Here the scenery shifts: the wide-open sea gives way to pine-covered hills as you turn inland. A gradual climb leads you deeper into the countryside, past traditional fincas and quiet fields. The air smells of pine and earth, a calm contrast to the salt and spray of the morning.
Over roughly 14 kilometers, you’ll climb gently from sea level to around 200 meters. The final stretch rolls along to Santa Agnès de Corona, a sleepy inland village surrounded by almond fields — a peaceful end to a day that began with waves crashing at your feet.
From the village of Sant Mateu d’Albarca, you walk through a landscape scented with pine and rosemary. The path takes you past impressive stone pines, including a few iconic giants that have been standing guard over the valley for decades. The first kilometres are gently undulating, giving you plenty of time to settle into your hiking rhythm.
After about 10 kilometres, the descent towards the coast begins. The hills slowly give way to glimpses of turquoise water. You eventually reach the beach of Puerto de San Miguel, where you can sink your feet into the sand and end the day with the sea at your toes. An easy stage in terms of elevation, but with enough variety to keep things interesting.
This final stage is packed with coastal views and hidden treasures. Leaving Port de San Miguel, the path winds uphill, offering a stunning view of Benirrás Bay before curving along scenic roads and trails. Soon you reach the panoramic viewpoint over Caló de s'Illa, followed by the secluded Es Caló de s'Illa Cove — a perfect spot for a quiet pause.
The route continues past the viewpoint of Cala Llentrisca and descends to the turquoise waters of Cala Xarraca Bay. With its mix of forest paths, cliffside views, and picturesque coves, this stage is a fitting finale to your journey. The elevation profile shows a mix of short climbs and descents, with the highest point reached just before the final downhill into Cala Xarraca.
