Arrival in Weggis

Arrive in Weggis, a quaint village perfectly located at the base of Mount Rigi. Upon arrival, you'll check into your comfortable hotel. Spend your afternoon wandering along the lakefront promenade, enjoying the fresh mountain air, or perhaps treating yourself to some local Swiss delicacies in one of the town’s cozy restaurants. The town offers stunning views of both Lake Lucerne and the nearby alpine peaks, making for a peaceful start to your adventure.

Panoramaweg Hike from Rigi Kaltbad to Rigi Kulm

Today begins with a scenic cable car ride from Weggis to Rigi Kaltbad. From there, your hike along the Panoramaweg offers sweeping views of Lake Lucerne, the rolling hills, and the distant Alps. The trail is gentle, making it suitable for most hikers, and as you ascend toward Rigi Kulm, the highest point of the mountain, you'll be treated to increasingly spectacular vistas. Take a moment at Rigi Kulm to bask in the 360-degree panoramic views before descending by train back to Weggis.

    We will arrange your accommodation on the Lake Lucerne Experience in hotels, inns, and guesthouses. Accommodation will be private in single, double or twin rooms and with en-suite bathroom where possible.

  • Full travel guide

    We will send you on your way with a digital travel guide which includes a route description, interactive Lake Lucerne Experience hiking maps, and the most important information applicable to your trek.

  • Breakfast

    Breakfast is, if possible, included in this trek and it will be provided every morning at your accommodation.

Excluded

  • Traveling to and from

    You have to make your own way to the starting point. The total amount does not include personal transport. This also applies to any transport from the end point of your trail.

  • Transfers

    Should you need any form of (public) transport on location, this is not part of the trekking package. This includes the use of taxi, bus, cable cars, gondolas etc.

  • Travel Insurance

    Your international travel insurance is your own responsibility. Discuss your itinerary with the insurance company before your trek.

  • Lunch and Dinner

    Breakfast is, if possible, included in the price of the trek. You can get lunch and dinner at the shops, hotels, and restaurants along the way.
