The Omo valley, situated in the south-west of Ethiopia, is home to a remarkable mix of small, contrasting ethnic groups not only the Ari and Konso, but also the Tsemai, the Darashi, the Mursi, the Bana, and the Hamer, to name but a few. Join us in this unique experience, meet the local peoples, get to know their cultures and, most impotantly, learn form them and their way of life.

Jinka - Turmi

Your trek starts in Jinka. After berkfast in the morning we drive to the Mursi tribal communities deep in their communal villages crossing through Mago National Park territory and meet the most isolated tribal communities of the Omo Valley. We take as much time as you want and drive back to overnight in turmi at a hotel.

Visit the Karo Tribes

In the morning after breakfast we will visit the Karo Tribes located some 60 km away from Turmi town and meet the most decoration loving community of the Karo tribe, settled permanently on the panoramic view point of the east banks of the Omo river. Overnight in turmi at a hotel.

Omorate - Visit the Dasenech Tribes

In the morning after berkfast we drive to Omorate, located 70 km South of Turmi, and meet the Dasenech Tribes deep in their communal village crossing the Omo River with a local canoe and walking to access their village. Later on after the visit we drive back to Turmi and overnight in Turmi hotel.
