This 5-day trek in Val di Fassa offers the perfect balance of adventure and convenience, with overnight stays before and after the hike. Starting from Campitello di Fassa, well-marked trails guide you through rugged peaks and quiet valleys, leading to the famous Passo Costalunga. Along the way, you’ll pass highlights like Col Rodella (2,484 m), Kesselkogel (3,004 m) and the stunning Lago Antermoia (2,500 m).

The route winds through high-altitude trails, rocky ridges and rolling slopes. Each night, a cosy rifugio awaits, where you'll be welcomed with warm hospitality and hearty Ladin cuisine. Campitello di Fassa- Rifugio Des Alpes - Rifugio Antermoia

The journey begins in Campitello di Fassa, where the Col Rodella cable car offers a swift ascent to Col Rodella (2,485 m). This panoramic ride saves time and energy while offering breathtaking views of the Dolomites. Upon reaching the top station, a short and scenic walk leads to Rifugio Des Alpes, a perfect place to pause and take in the stunning surroundings of the Sassolungo massif and the Sella Group. From here, the trail winds through rocky landscapes and alpine meadows, gradually leading into the heart of the Val Duron valley. As you ascend, the terrain becomes more rugged, and the scenery more dramatic, with towering peaks and glacial lakes setting the stage for the next highlight of the trek. Today's trek culminates at the famous Rifugio Vajolet. Starting near the turquoise waters of Lake Antermoia, the trail climbs gently through rugged terrain. This alpine lake, framed by sheer cliffs, provides a picturesque backdrop to start your day.

As the climb steepens, dramatic peaks, including the imposing Kesselkogel (3,004m), dominate the skyline, offering a sense of isolation and awe. Over the Lausa Pass, the trail descends through rocky terrain into a peaceful valley, eventually reaching Lago Secco, a tranquil spot ideal for a short break.

The last part of the route crosses the Passo delle Pope and climbs gradually along rocky paths to the Rifugio Vajolet. The day ends with a panoramic view of the iconic Vajolet Towers, a striking symbol of the Dolomites.
