Our special Zillertal package is ideal for families and beginners. You hike on well-maintained T1 and T2 trails, don't get much higher than 2,000 meters, and you stay overnight in comfortable hotels instead of spartan mountain huts. And if that's not enough, your luggage will be transported for you! After a day of adventure, you'll plop down in your own private room and enjoy a well-deserved night's sleep. Your adventure begins in the picturesque village of Zell am Ziller, from where you'll take a leisurely walk to lively Mayrhofen. This route stays mostly in the inhabited world, allowing you to enjoy authentic Alpine life along the way. Admire the charming Tyrolean houses and you may already smell the delicious aroma of freshly baked Apfelstrudel. You will spend the night in a comfortable hotel in Mayrhofen, where you can enjoy a hot shower and a delicious dinner.

From Mayrhofen to Finkenberg

Today you hike from Mayrhofen to the picturesque Finkenberg. You cross the Zemmbach, a river that originates in the melting glacier water of the Hintertux. As you ascend, you get beautiful views of the valley and surrounding mountains. A comfortable hotel awaits you in Finkenberg, where you can relax after the day's efforts.

From Finkenberg to Tux

After a hearty breakfast, take the Finkenberger Almbahn uphill, from where you begin your descent to Tux. The route winds through green alpine meadows and past traditional mountain huts. It's a perfect day to admire the Alpine flora up close and you might even spot a curious marmot. Upon arrival in Tux, another comfortable hotel awaits you.

  • Accommodation

    We will arrange your accommodation on the Zillertal Experience in hotels, inns, and guesthouses. Accommodation will be private in single, double or twin rooms and with en-suite bathroom where possible.

  • Full travel guide

    We will send you on your way with a digital travel guide which includes a route description, interactive Zillertal Experience hiking maps, and the most important information applicable to your trek.

  • Baggage Transfer

    This trek includes the transfer of your luggage throughout the entire Zillertal Experience trek. Your bags will be picked up every morning from the hotel lobby and will be driven to your next next accommodation. Baggage transfers allow you to travel lighter during the day and enjoy the walk in a more relaxed manner.

  • Breakfast

    Breakfast is, if possible, included in this trek and it will be provided every morning at your accommodation.

Excluded

  • Traveling to and from

    You have to make your own way to the starting point. The total amount does not include personal transport. This also applies to any transport from the end point of your trail.

  • Transfers

    Should you need any form of (public) transport on location, this is not part of the trekking package. This includes the use of taxi, bus, cable cars, gondolas etc.

  • Travel Insurance

    Your international travel insurance is your own responsibility. Discuss your itinerary with the insurance company before your trek.

  • Lunch and Dinner

    Breakfast is, if possible, included in the price of the trek. You can get lunch and dinner at the shops, hotels, and restaurants along the way.
