Dzongla is positioned at an altitude of approximately 4,830 meters (15,850 feet) between two high mountain passes, the Cho La Pass and the Lobuche Pass. It serves as an important acclimatization stop along the Everest Base Camp trek and offers breathtaking views of the surrounding Himalayan peaks, including Ama Dablam, Cholatse, and Thamserku.
