The full Mullerthal Trail is 112 kilometers long, and consists of three different routes, that all can be combined. This makes the Mullerthal Trail suitable for a weekend, a long weekend, or even a week!
Mullerthal Trail Route 1 is 36 kilometers long, which will take you approximately 12 hours in total. This route starts in Echternach and can be best described as a sightseeing route. This route combines the forest, the meadows, and the rock formations around Echternach. This route can easily be split up into two stages, with one overnight stay in Metzdorf.
Mullerthal Trail Route 2 is 38 kilometers long, which will take you about 15 hours in total. This route is, just like Route 1, starting in Echternach and is dominated by rock formations. This trek is considerably more challenging than Route 1, due to the climbing and height differences. You don't have to worry about the logistics of booking accommodation along the route, as we will arrange this for you. The only thing you then have to do is to enjoy this beautiful landscape.
We will arrange your accommodation on the Mullerthal Trail in hotels, inns, and guesthouses. Accommodation will be private in single, double or twin rooms and with en-suite bathroom where possible.
We will send you on your way with a digital travel guide which includes a route description, interactive Mullerthal Trail hiking maps, and the most important information applicable to your trek.
This trek includes the transfer of your luggage throughout the entire Mullerthal Trail trek. Your bags will be picked up every morning from the hotel lobby and will be driven to your next next accommodation. Baggage transfers allow you to travel lighter during the day and enjoy the walk in a more relaxed manner.
Breakfast is, if possible, included in this trek and it will be provided every morning at your accommodation.
You have to make your own way to the starting point. The total amount does not include personal transport. This also applies to any transport from the end point of your trail.
Should you need any form of (public) transport on location, this is not part of the trekking package. This includes the use of taxi, bus, cable cars, gondolas etc.
Your international travel insurance is your own responsibility. Discuss your itinerary with the insurance company before your trek.
Breakfast is, if possible, included in the price of the trek. You can get lunch and dinner at the shops, hotels, and restaurants along the way.
