Ascent: 1150 m / 3773 ft

On your first day of hiking, there's an immediate steep ascent above 1000m. You can optionally choose to go up by ski lift from Ovronnaz and this will save you about half the altitude metres. With clear skies, you'll be lucky to get a view of the popular Mont Blanc on your first stage today. After a narrow 10 kilometers you will arrive at your first overnight stop, Cabane du Fenestral. This mountain lodge is beautifully located with a stunning view of the lake Lac de Fully where you can relax after your first hike.
