> Experience the breathtaking scenery of the Julian Alps.
> Stay in authentic mountain huts
> Hike through the famous Triglav Lakes Valley.
> Avoid hiking trails with Via Ferrata
Are you looking for a cool hut-to-hut tour with all the natural highlights of Triglav National Park, but not looking for difficult Via Ferratas? Then you've come to the right place. This circular hut tour starts from Lake Bohinj, leads you to beautiful high-altitude mountain huts and brings you back to Lake Bohinj via the "Valley of the 7 Triglav Lakes". This hut-to-hut tour can certainly not be underestimated with hiking days of at least 5 hours and many meters of vertical gain, but this tour requires no experience with Via Ferrata.
* You can also combine this hut-to-hut tour with climbing Mount Triglav. For more information please contact our Trekking Experts.
Where many try to reach the summit of Mount Triglav today, we avoid the crowds and cross directly to Koca na Dolicu hut at 2210 m altitude. Enjoy your breakfast as descending is out of the question today. In about 2 hours you will hike through the beautiful limestone mountains on a not-too-technical trail. If you're lucky you'll spot an ibex today!
*If you also want to climb Mount Triglav today, you can. You will need Via Ferrata equipment for this and you should plan for an extra 3-4 hours for this day. Ask our Trekking Experts about the possibilities.
We will take care of arranging accommodation on the Julian Alps for you. We will also provide you with a detailed itinerary for every stage and instructions on how to get to the trailhead.
We will send you on your way with a digital travel guide that includes a route description for the Julian Alps, interactive hiking maps, and the most important information applicable to your trek
During your Julian Alps, you will spend your nights in mountain huts. In the mountain huts we normally only book dormitories, but we can look into private rooms on request. If the private rooms are fully booked or not available in the hut, we automatically book a bed in dormitories for you. Please note that private rooms are more expensive and there will be an additional charge for this.
Accommodation at the huts includes dinner and breakfast. We will arrange this for you as well. This allows you to travel lighter and have one less thing to worry about. Bear in mind that lunch is not included, but it can be purchased at the huts. Here you can also buy an array of snacks and bottled water.
You have to make your own way to the starting point. The total amount does not include personal transport.
Should you need any form of (public) transport on location, this is not part of the trekking package. This includes the use of taxi, bus, cable cars, gondolas etc.
Half-board is included in the price of this trek. Lunch, however, is not. You can get something to eat at the mountain huts along the way.
Your international travel insurance is your own responsibility. Discuss your itinerary with the insurance company before your trek.
Personal expenses on such as souvenirs, drinks, and other similar expenses are for your own account.
Via Ferrata equipment (helmet, harness, via ferrata set) are not included in the price, but will be available for rent in the town(s) close to the starting point.
