> Complete the western half of the Tour du Mont Blanc
This hike is one of the most famous in Europe and traditionally crosses 3 countries: France, Italy, and Switzerland. The famous Tour du Mont Blanc is a 170-kilometer long circuit, which encircles the Mont Blanc massif and has 10 kilometers of ascent/descent. The trek can be completed in 7 to 11 days, depending on the route and physical condition.
This 7-day trekking is designed for those who have little time or do not necessarily want to do the full Tour du Mont Blanc. Our 7-day trekking leads you through the western half of the TMB, starting in Chamonix, France, and ending in Courmayeur, Italy. This is basically the same package as this 5 day itinerary but with a hotel in Chamonix and Courmayeur. Along the way you will spend the nights in French and Italian mountain huts. There you will meet other hikers and enjoy delicious local dishes. During this 7-day adventure, you'll enjoy stunning views of the mountains, snow-capped peaks and small picturesque mountain villages. You don't have to worry about the logistics of booking the huts, we'll take care of that for you, so all you have to worry about is enjoying this adventure!
We will take care of arranging accommodation on the Tour du Mont Blanc for you. We will also provide you with a detailed itinerary for every stage and instructions on how to get to the trailhead.
We will send you on your way with a digital travel guide that includes a route description for the Tour du Mont Blanc, interactive hiking maps, and the most important information applicable to your trek
During your Tour du Mont Blanc, you will spend your nights in mountain huts. In the mountain huts we normally only book dormitories, but we can look into private rooms on request. If the private rooms are fully booked or not available in the hut, we automatically book a bed in dormitories for you. Please note that private rooms are more expensive and there will be an additional charge for this.
Accommodation at the huts includes dinner and breakfast. We will arrange this for you as well. This allows you to travel lighter and have one less thing to worry about. Bear in mind that lunch is not included, but it can be purchased at the huts. Here you can also buy an array of snacks and bottled water.
Accommodation before and after the trek is included. Breakfast is part of your stay.
You have to make your own way to the starting point. The total amount does not include personal transport.
Should you need any form of (public) transport on location, this is not part of the trekking package. This includes the use of taxi, bus, cable cars, gondolas etc.
Half-board is included in the price of this trek. Lunch, however, is not. You can get something to eat at the mountain huts along the way.
Your international travel insurance is your own responsibility. Discuss your itinerary with the insurance company before your trek.
Personal expenses on such as souvenirs, drinks, and other similar expenses are for your own account.
