The Franz Senn Refuge is the largest refuge in the Innsbruck section of the Austrian Alpine Club, with approximately 170 beds. It is equipped with its own hydroelectric power plant for energy supply, a cable car for material transport, a hybrid heating system, and a partially biological wastewater treatment plant.
