Wildflowers are spread between the rocks. Meadow flowers such as edelweiss and many kind of herbs are used for medical purposes by the locals. Tsagaan nuur and Darkhad valley is a low lying area with more than 200 lakes, the largest is the Tsagaan nuur lake. The area is surrounded by extensive marshland, mountains, and forested hills, and it is the natural home of Tsaatan minority reindeer people.
