The summit is now open! Join Herman Trekker in this 4-day trek to Mount Rinjani’s summit. Spend your first night in Senaru and the following 3 days trekking in this wonderful mountain. From Sembalun to the Crater Rim, then to the summit, and finally to the Lake and Hot springs. Enjoy an unforgettable sunrise from the Summit, with its breathtaking views of the whole island, and a unique sunset from the crater rim. Are you ready for this incredible experience? let’s go!
For your convenience and security, when you arrive to Lombok Island we will pick you up from the airport, harbours and tourist attractions such as in mataram, senggigi, kuta and others. We will then take you to our office in senaru village so you can register and we can take care of other matters such as payment, directions and your preparation for the trek on the next day. We will then drive you to your hotel room in Senaru which we will arrange for you.
You can visit and enjoy the view of popular and amazing “Sindang Gile ” and “Tiu Kelep ” waterfalls if you arrive in Senaru Village at noon.
Waking up at 2:00 am, a light breakfast of hot bread with jam, chocolate, and hot beverages will be prepared to fuel your summit climb. The journey to the top typically takes 3-4 hours, varying with your pace, and involves three stages: a moderate initial climb, followed by a relatively easier but longer trek, and finally, the challenging "letter E" stage marked by steep inclines and slippery terrain. Reaching the summit rewards you with a magnificent sunrise view, offering sights of Lombok Island, Agung Mountain in Bali, and Tambora Mountain in Sumbawa.
After basking in the sunrise and capturing memories, you'll descend back to the campsite for a well-deserved breakfast and rest. Later, a 3-hour trek will take you to a lake and hot springs where you can indulge in a relaxing swim and explore the pilgrimage springs, while lunch is being prepared. The post-lunch journey, lasting another 3 hours, leads to Senaru crater rim, presenting yet another mesmerizing view, particularly of Agung Mountain in Bali and the smoky expanse of a new volcano. The day ends with a delightful dinner beneath the vast starry sky.
