Why Do You Book Your Mera Peak Trek With Bookatrekking.com?

We work with one of the best trekking outfitters in Nepal. The Nepali team is taking care of you from the moment you arrive in Kathmandu until the end of your journey. Our local crew members have climbed Mera Peak dozens of times, and know how to manage an expedition like this. Our team leader in Kathmandu, Dil, explains how the trip is built up with a good acclimatization schedule in mind. “Climbing a mountain of over 6000 meters requires proper acclimatization. It's a bad idea to go straight up the mountain and without the altitude build up”. Together with our local team we created an incredible 15-day tour that allows you to take on the heights of Mera Peak. “It is a trek that covers all aspects of a remote trek, including the view from the 6,476 meter summit of Mera Peak” says Dil. “It is a popular mountain expedition, and we run it multiple times a year. “

We'd like to emphasize that our Mera Peak tour includes salary, food, accommodation and insurance for the guides and porters. This sounds normal but not every organization makes these arrangements for their people on the ground.

Prices of flights to Kathmandu vary, but Tribhuvan International Airport is well-served by some of the Gulf state airlines, such as Emirates Airlines and Qatar Airways. You can find a flight from Europe for less than 800 EUR whereas you may find a deal for around 1000 EUR from the east coast of the USA. Nepal is a very affordable country. A good quality accommodation can be found for less than 50 EUR and eating in local restaurants is generally cheap and very tasty.

Mera Peak Trek Accommodation

Unlike a few decades ago, the approach to Mera Peak is now a tea house trek. If you have done the trek to Everest Base Camp or the Annapurna Circuit, note that there is a difference in the facilities that are on offer in the tea houses on the Mera peak route. Don’t expect hot water, showers, flushing toilets or WiFi. What you can expect is a warm welcome, delicious hot meals and a cozy woodfire. The accommodation is basic, but it’s comfortable and fitting for a climbing trip.
